Recruiting Volunteers for Science Coaches

ACS is looking for volunteers to get involved in Science Coaching! Thank you to the following members for being coaches for the 2017-2018 school year: Tim Ballard, Dennis Ergle, Devvie Pritchard, Beth Williard, Cynthia Williard, and Robert Yokley. CNC-ACS partnered with local middle school and high school teachers to aid in science education in the classroom.

Applications are being accepted through September 1, 2018 for the 2018-2019 school year. If you have a teacher in mind that you'd like to work with you can apply together, or we can match you with a teacher interested in the program.

Senior Chemists Group

Senior chemists will hold their next meeting on Sept. 6 at 6:30pm. The meeting will be at Robert Yokley's home in Kernersville. The guest speaker will be Tim McDonald, Brewmeister Extraordinaire, and his topic will be “Brewing Beer – The Chemistry and Brewing Practices that Create Different Styles”. A tasting of various styles of beer will follow. Please RSVP.
